Here is a recipe for making delicious beet root fry:
Ingredients:
- 3-4 medium sized beetroots
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
- 1 teaspoon urad dal
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 2 green chillies (slit)
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
- Salt to taste
- 2 teaspoons coriander leaves (chopped)
Instructions:
- Wash and peel the beetroots, and cut them into thin slices.
- Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Add mustard seeds, urad dal, and cumin seeds, and let them splutter.
- Add the green chillies and sauté for a minute.
- Add the sliced beetroots, turmeric powder, and salt, and stir well.
- Cover the pan and cook the beetroots for 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Remove the lid and cook until the beetroots are soft and golden brown, about 5-7 minutes.
- Sprinkle coriander leaves on top of the beetroot fry.
