Here is a recipe for making delicious beet root fry:

Ingredients:

  • 3-4 medium sized beetroots
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
  • 1 teaspoon urad dal
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 2 green chillies (slit)
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 teaspoons coriander leaves (chopped)

Instructions:

  1. Wash and peel the beetroots, and cut them into thin slices.
  2. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
  3. Add mustard seeds, urad dal, and cumin seeds, and let them splutter.
  4. Add the green chillies and sauté for a minute.
  5. Add the sliced beetroots, turmeric powder, and salt, and stir well.
  6. Cover the pan and cook the beetroots for 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  7. Remove the lid and cook until the beetroots are soft and golden brown, about 5-7 minutes.
  8. Sprinkle coriander leaves on top of the beetroot fry.
  9. Serve hot as a side dish with rice or roti. Enjoy!
